Event parking will be in the south at the New Glarus High School. (1701 2nd St, New Glarus, WI 53574). Parking within the state park is very limited and requires a park pass. Please head straight to the parking lot at the school to avoid congestion at the park that may delay the event.

We are providing a shuttle from the school to the park. Before the race, the shuttle will run from 8:00-9:10, with a loop taking about 10 minutes. Pick up will be at the southeast corner of the school parking lot and drop off at the park will be near the park pavilion (shuttle route). After the event the shuttle will run in reverse from 11:00-1:00.

Alternately you might want to walk or jog on the Sugar River State Trail from the school parking lot to the park pavilion. It’s about 1 mile uphill and you’ll see a preview of a portion of the course.

For your convenience, we will be offering a bag drop near the finish line. You may tag your own bag, or pick up a string bag donated by the Bank of New Glarus. Write your bib number on the tag and then show your bib to retrieve your belongings after the race. We will not be responsible for lost or damaged items so please leave valuables and fragile items at home.

Runners will enjoy brats, beverages, Limburger sandwiches, sauerkraut shots, polka music and prizes at the finish line. The New Glarus Alphorns will play throughout the event.

Stay the weekend and enjoy all the food, drink and attractions that “Swisstown” has to offer! Check out local lodging options, or make a reservation online to camp right in the state park. From the park, head south on the Sugar River State Trail to reach downtown New Glarus-its a little over 1 mile.
